Auras: What Do They Mean?

By Nova Krasner

Electrical impulses make up a magnetic field around our body. Not only does this happen to our bodies but to every living piece of matter in the universe. Planets have auras and energy fields around them which ties into their gravitational pull. Everything that is made up of electrons, protons, and neutrons has an aura.

Auras are a beautiful representation of the body. There are seven layers to the aura field. Each of the layers goes further and further away from the body.

What is Aura? Colors? And Shapes? Why is knowing about aura so necessary? Energy is all around us. Being able to sense people’s energy and using your natural-born intuition is a superpower.

Knowing about auras and energy can help you and others learn about more holistic practices and how these centuries-old practices are still studied in today’s culture. Energy is all around us and we all contribute to the world and bigger than that, the universe. Being able to discern what energies you are emitting through your aura is something fun to learn about.

Being able to read your own aura can help you determine physical, mental, and emotional aspects of self from the subconscious.

How to read your own aura: Take a few deep breaths. Look at yourself in the mirror and imagine what colors you see around you. What colors? What shapes and outlines do you see? What colors are brightest, and which are dull? Open yourself to being able to see your own energy. Feel the energy around you as you emit it. What do you feel?

Being able to see your own aura may take a couple of tries. But understand that it's more so about the energy you feel of yourself and others around you can be not only fun but helpful to keep your energy where you would like it at.

Some practices to help your aura and energy levels. Getting your body moving, whether through dancing, walking, or doing a few jumping jacks can easily get your body flowing. Hydration! Hydration is important on a physical level to literally get your organs moving and keep them lubricated. Once your physical body is at its best, every other auric field follows like a domino effect.

Here are some key notes to auras descriptions of what they might mean:
